Clipsal SaturnGlass and metal looks. Check stock before you plan around it.

Clipsal Saturn is a range of glass-look and metal-finish light switches and power points with push buttons. Schneider Electric has discontinued at least two Saturn Series switches without a replacement, so if you're matching an existing Saturn fit-out, check availability before you plan anything. Installing them is a job for a licensed electrician.

Saturn Series, Horizon and Zen

The Saturn 4000 Series offers glass-look fascias, or the metallic finishes of Saturn Horizon, with push button switches. Schneider says the range gives a home a high-end, spacious feel.

Saturn Zen is the sister range, with a fingerprint-resistant matte metallic finish, LED lights and interchangeable pictogram icons on the buttons. It's aimed at modern or architectural interiors. Its 3 gang push button switch comes in Zen black or Zen white, is made of UV-stabilised polycarbonate and works as a 2-way switch, so one light can be run from more than one spot.

What's been discontinued

Schneider's own pages show the 4 gang 4064PBL-OM push button switch discontinued on 24 November 2025, and the 3 gang 4063PBL-HS on 2 June 2026. Neither has a replacement.

We haven't seen a range-wide notice from Schneider, so we won't tell you the whole Saturn range is gone, and Saturn Zen products showed no discontinued notice when checked. But if a renovation depends on Saturn Series switches, find out what's still available before you commit.

Planning a renovation around Saturn

  • Count every switch and power point you need, by number of gangs, before ordering anything.
  • Ask the supplier which items are discontinued and which are still listed.
  • If one plate can't be matched, decide whether to change that room, or the whole house, to a current range.
  • Ask whether Saturn Zen would suit the look where Series switches can't be found.

What's yours to do, and what isn't

You can

  • Choose finishes and button layouts.
  • Check each product carries the RCM, which in-scope electrical equipment needs before it can be sold in Australia.
  • Photograph your existing plates so the electrician knows what to match.

Leave to a licensed electrician

  • Fitting or changing any switch or power point. Energy Safe Victoria says even small jobs like this aren't DIY.
  • Wiring 2-way switching so a light works from two places.
  • Testing the work and, in NSW, giving you a uniquely numbered Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.

If it were our renovation

If you love the Saturn look and you're starting fresh, we'd confirm stock on every item first and buy them together, rather than finding a gap halfway through. If you're replacing one broken switch in a Saturn house, which the NSW Government says should be done rather than put up with, ask the electrician to source the part before they book the visit.
