Rouse Hill's homes and power
Endeavour Energy
Ausgrid's checker lists Endeavour for 2155, which also covers Kellyville.
Picked for growth
The NSW Government chose Rouse Hill for suburban growth in 1986, mainly because it was less flood-prone than the areas around it.
Houses and townhouses
Houses were 54.4% of homes in 2021, townhouses or semis 19.9% and flats 25.4%.
Mortgages and renters
43.4% of homes had a mortgage and 39.7% were rented. Only 15.9% were owned outright.
Storms
After the November 2025 windstorm, Endeavour's overnight repairs concentrated on areas including the Hills District.
Before a charger goes into a newer home
- Check the board has a spare space and the main switch can carry the extra load.
- Decide where the car parks, so the cable run is short and tidy.
- Choose a charger carrying the Regulatory Compliance Mark.
- If the switchboard or meter box needs upgrading, the electrician should tell Endeavour Energy.
- Planning a bi-directional charger? Endeavour says it must be approved and registered through its Connections Portal.
- Ask for the CCEW once the job is done.
Solar exports are changing
From November 2026, flexible exports become the default for eligible new and upgraded systems on Endeavour's network, letting eligible homes export 10 kW per phase most of the time. You'll need a CSIP-AUS inverter listed by the Clean Energy Council and an active internet connection.
Endeavour's rollout runs by postcode in stages through to February 2027, so ask your installer when the change reaches 2155.
Our take for Rouse Hill
Plan the charger, solar and battery together, even if you buy them years apart. One electrician mapping the board and cable routes now saves pulling things apart later.
