Jobs that follow the weather here

Storm repairs. The network side, like fallen lines and the street supply, is Energex's: 13 19 62 for fallen lines and 13 62 62 for outages. Inside your home, a licensed electrician tests anything that took water or a surge.

Surge protection and safety switches. Lightning-heavy storms are a good reason to ask about a surge protector at the board, and to check that safety switches cover all your circuits.

Solar and batteries. Energex's basic connection terms cap household inverter capacity at 10 kVA and export at 5 kW per phase. A battery only keeps the lights on in a blackout if it's set up for backup, so ask about that specifically.
